1. What is a Custom Bot?

A Custom bot allows you to personalize the bot entirely:

• Your own bot avatar and description
• Your own bot name throughout the entire experience
• Custom Bot comes with the same limits as the VIP version.

2. How to purchase a subscription to a Custom Survey Bot?

• The Custom Bot option is available with a yearly subscription. In the Web App’s Settings page for your community, go to the Plan Tab and select “Upgrade”.
• Select the Custom Bot option under “Yearly”

• Once the transaction is confirmed:
  • create an application in the Discord Developer Portal (see #3 below)
  • then setup the bot (see #4 below)
  • At any point, contact the Subo Team if you need any assistance

3. Create your application in Discord

• Go to the Discord’s Developer portal:
• Press New Application

• Give your custom bot a name, description and avatar.

• Read and accept Discord policies and press Create

• Under the Bottab:

  • make sure ‘Public Bot’ is enabled
  • Under ‘Privileged Gateway Intents’, enable “Server Members Intent” and “Message Content Intent”.
