1. What is a Custom Bot?

• You can personalize Subo, especially with Premium (see /settings: Customize Subo for your server and How to change the bot’s name), but there are a few limitations.
• A Custom bot allows you to personalize the bot entirely:
  • Your own bot avatar and description
  • Your own bot name throughout the entire experience
  • Optional: higher limits. By default, Custom Bot comes with the same limits as the VIP version. If you need higher limits, this can be arranged (contact the Subo team for a quotation).

2. How to purchases a subscription to a Custom Survey Bot?

• The Custom Bot option is available with a yearly subscription. Subscribe directly at subo.ai/subscriptions and check the Yearly tab.

• Once the transaction is confirmed, contact Staff on the server or by email and tell us which server ID you want to upgrade. If you don’t know the server ID, just provide the server name.

3. How to upgrade from another subscription plan to a Custom Bot?

• If you purchased your premium or VIP subscription via Stripe on the Subo website (subo.ai), you can upgrade to a Custom Bot Yearly plan by accessing your billing portal and selecting to update
• If you purchased your premium or VIP subscription through Discord, you can’t simply upgrade via Discord. You will need to cancel your server subscription and purchase a Custom Bot subscription via Subo’s website (subo.ai/pricing).

3. Set up your Custom Bot

1. Create an application in Discord’s Developer portal:

• Press New Application
• Give your custom bot a name, description and avatar.
